The possibilities to explore and conquer the stunning peaks and faces of the mighty Dolomites are seemingly endless. The Carnic high-alpine trail is one of the many highlights here in the mountainous region of the Hochpustertal valley. This path was used by smugglers in the past, but today it is popular with all long-distance hikers as it leads past up to 40 mountain peaks and plenty of charming alpine huts with stunning panoramic views.
The distinctive Porze mountain peak in the beautiful Dorfertal valley is a beautiful summit hike and includes two secure fixed-rope routes or vie ferrate of the category A. Relicts of the First World War remind hikers of our history. For a little bit of Italian flair, hikers can also walk back down directly to Italy. On hot summer days, there is no better place to cool down than at the Klapfsee alpine lake on the Tyrolean side of the Porze mountain.
The high wire park Wichtelpark Sillian is a fantastic destination for all families with fearless little adventurers. Situated right in the middle of the forest, the course is up to 8 metres high and the challenges can be conquered with plenty of support and encouragement from your fellow adventurers up at these dizzying heights.
Explore the stunningly beautiful high-alpine nature while mountaineering at the Golzentipp mountain. At the summit of the Golzentipp, hikers are rewarded with breath-taking panoramic views of the Hohen Tauern, Lienzer Dolomites, Carnic Alps, and the Sextener Dolomites. The picturesque Jochsee, close to the mountain station of the Glamplift, is a fabulous place for a refreshing dip.
